Operation One Voice provides support
Operation One Voice provides
$12,000.00 in Education Donations to wounded warriors
DULUTH, Ga. —
Operation One Voice, Inc a Georgia based non-profit developed by
police officers, firefighters and community leaders has put the
‘check in the mail’. Twelve checks, each in the amount of $1,000.00
for families of wounded Special Operations Forces. The checks will
help these families with educational cost for children or wives that
must return to work as a result of their husband’s injuries.
Since 2005,
Operation One Voice has provided over $166,000.00 for education of
Special Operations Forces families, most recently (since 2007)
$31,000.00 for wounded SOF families.
Each year, during the fourth quarter, Operation One Voice with
support from the United States Special Operations Command Care
Coalition chooses ten to twelve recipients. “Helping these families
prepare for the future is one of our main goals at Operation One
Voice”; Lt Bill Stevens, Duluth Police and founder of Operation One
Voice. “We are not alone in our work; public safety officers have
formed OOV chapters in Hall County- North Georgia Chapter, Southwest
Georgia Chapter-Albany and North Florida Chapter – Tallahassee.”
“Just like in police, fire or special ops community, we’re a team
effort and pull together”.
While the families that receive this support will remain nameless to
the public they will not be forgotten by the volunteers and
supporters of Operation One Voice and the communities which we serve.
